RPK Votes to Change from Primary to Caucus
August 22, 2015
On August 22, 2015, the Republican Party of Kentucky voted to change the May Primary to a March Caucus in Kentucky. The Caucus method, which is more expensive than a Primary, will cost between $400-600K, according to a quote by Scott Lasley, Kentucky’s GOP 2nd District Chairman. Presidential hopeful and sitting Kentucky Senator, Rand Paul, has told the RPK that he would pay or raise the money to pay $250K toward that cost before the end of September.
